The point of this book was not to be a "how-to guide" to performing all the skills mentioned, but rather its design was to give the reader an idea of how some things are done while encouraging you to explore on your own the other skills he speaks about. For example, when David talks about the medicinal aspect of trees, he only mentions some trees and their possible uses, but he does not dive into them completely, which leaves you to have to search out those things for yourself. Also, when he covers blacksmithing, he covers the general aspects of it but not exhaustively. But don't let this discourage you as this book truly opens the doors for those seeking to learn Bushcraft skills get a good layout of what things you should start seeking to accomplish, and what areas of Bushcraft you may not have even thought of but should consider.
